First time trying these pferd three square files, took a little to get the angle right but got the hang of it now. More aggressive beak then the Husqvarna c85 chain but similar angle, cuts ridiculously well through spruce and poplar but I suppose most chains do.
If you’d like it to truly go fast and last, check out the square ground and square filed threads. The idea is to try to get the corner of the file up in the corner of the tooth and file down and out on an angle. You’re filing flat across the middle of the tooth. Soooo.... You tried shavin' Yourself with it?!…and it cleans face cuts out way better
I think leaving the gullet in would help the surface too.This is impressive. I can see how square would be nice for milling to leave a finer surface.
I busted my PowerSharp chain and have no intension of getting another.
