I think that the 592 is an excellent saw and I think the hardest thing to adapt to is the new technology it’s a good runner. I’ve had a 42 inch bar. The saw it handled it good oiled good. We know that the 390 and 395 are proven saws. That stood the test of time just like the 394.
Yes my 592 has an issue with the electronics in the carburetor. Hopefully it gets taken care of. But I definitely like grabbing the 592 over 390 and a 395

My own stupid opinion is that the 394 is the king...as far as raw power and torque goes and how it feels in the hand with said power especially ported. 395 is a really nice weapon for sure, but the 592 is a nicer tool to use than both of them. It's just my own moronic opinion. I fancy the 661 too, that's a badazz saw with a poopy filter setup.

Somebody educate me what is the difference between a 394 and a 395.
I’m on educated on the 394. But when the 395 came out wasn’t supposed to be better than the 394?

Love my 394. I forgot to take it with me yesterday. I’ve only ran it with a 28 so I need to get that 36 on it to get a real comparison. I do like the grunt of the older saws over the scream of the new though.

I have a ported 395xp and ported 592xp from the same builder . I stated this before the 395xp is the saw if you run very long bars or mill with a chainsaw . The 592xp is a joy to run under most conditions . It doesn't have the pure torque of a ported 395xp but I'll run the 592xp over the 395xp IMO .

A 394 has dual transfer ports as opposed to quads in the 395. The 394 also has an intake block instead of a rubber boot.

Played with both of these yesterday. They’re both stock. I was just out testing the 592 before I port it to get a feel for it. It def feels more like a ported saw straight out the box. I was impressed with how it handled a 36” bar in hard wood. A ported 395 IMO is in a different league so It’ll be interesting to see how it stacks up once it’s done.

It’s def a nice saw to use. I’m liking it.

Nice and good looking saws. Who makes the lightweight bar, not the husky. The other one?

It’s a Tsumura Light Bar Black Edition. I believe the husky ones made by Tsumura as well, however, that black edition is ridiculously light for a 36” bar. It feels the same weight as the 24”. I think on paper it’s the same weight as the husky light 28” but I’m going to weigh it against the 24” and see.

The ports on the 395 are somewhat of a hybrid quad setup IMHO, as the transfers are side fed instead of bottom feeding "which I personally consider true quads". I believe Husqvarna did this because of case limitations as, the cases are essentially the same, not a perfect setup. None the less, they just pull.

I've yet to port my 592 or run one that is, I'm willing to gamble in a few years as builders figure the saw out, the 592 will end up having more torque, very small changes can make a huge difference. I say this because a stock 592 walks the 395 in HP and Torque, the 661 is just ahead of it as well. So far I still like the 395 over all of them, but i need to get more trigger time on the 661 and 592, just too gang hot right now...

I'm sure you've all seen Joe's dyno video.

One thing I think we all gotta keep in mind? With the 592 husky did a pretty good job building this from the factory.
Look at the exhaust port how big it is the muffler nothing inside of it. And I know that there’s more from talking to Saw builders

Just put a tank of fuel though 592 I put back together after being run for around 2 hours, then smashed. Owner did not want to repair and said keep it, I do not want to look at it. Could not leave it alone, so ordered new top handle, clutch cover, fuel tank, had case repaired, cut new gaskets, beat muffler out and opened stock outlet. Here are my thoughts on it, cold started on 4 pulls, hot starts on one, only running 24" bar (so have to lean into it hard to slow it down), but am a light weight at 230. Have a 572,550mk2 and ported 372. This saw is smooth with ample nuts. Have no need for a saw this large, but when bucking I don't see where weight is a huge concern. Offered it back to owner for cost of parts, he said keep it or sell it, don't want it back, period. Here is tree I cut, used 550 to do small branches. To each his own, have rebuilt and run several 394, 395 saws, I would take a 592 if not milling. Oh, with a 24" bar this saw likes to 4 stroke with any reduced pressure.IMG_20220627_095528315.jpg IMG_20220627_092500827.jpg

Anyone cutting the base on these? I’m thinking 0.5mm might be pushing it due to the impulse opening that Shaun had issues with.

Isn’t it typical when a Saw goes to a shop it doesn’t act up it’s just like a car you drive a car and it’s acting up or a piece of heavy equipment. And Mechanic comes out and looks at it and it doesn’t act up.
