Got some uglies in for grinding, another loop was severely rocked but I didn't take pictures.

This is the semi after my grinding.
I didn't feel like swapping wheels for just one .325" so it got a big-C from the 3/8" chain wheel.

The middle still needs to dry, it’s wet and fermented.
Turkey oak, which I prefer for firewood, won't even crack like that while in log form.
Even after 2 years sitting out in the open it'll shed its bark, but once bucked & split it still needs to season at least 2 years to burn well and long.

Split & bucked it can withstand the tooth of time and seasonal erosion for easy half a decade plus.

I also make a point to debark all my firewood when I split it to reduce bug infestation which begins under the woods bark.

Let’s see some uber durable round full chisel. How blunt can you get before it doesn’t cut? Figure a powerful saw and lowering rakers to get it to cut.
I think they can get pretty blunt/dull and still cut. Remember the knotheads in the sharpening group that were snapping the rakers off with vise grips? 😂

There's been plenty enough that have accidentally put their chain on backwards to prove that theory correct.

I experimented once before with Xcut/Hexa flat faced cutters but titled more vertical for durability. Need to revisit. Probably will go grinder, then flat file in the field …or 1/4” round file

@Squish9
Go for a "J" ground profile instead of a "C"!
I noticed incresed cutter durability with negligeble drop in cutting performance.

Also, Husqvarna Full Chisel X-Cut is Your friend!
C-series , IIRC.

Semi chisel in any brand does nothing for me.
