Battery & AC powered electric tends to be 3/8" LowProfile/Picco, at least here.

TiffanyFX chain…ok out of the box. Two licks off the raker made it grabby, just over .025”. Pic after 1 tank. Dry hard tough live oak. Top plate seems to grab more than the side cutter can cut? Might be better in softwood.

After a filing it was considerably faster. Not sure how much of that was sharpness and how much was angles. I think it was angles because out of the box it wasn’t as fast as you’d expect with angles like Xcut. Also I could still shave my nail with it before I sharpened it.

I don’t think the extra cost of the hexa chain and file , are worth the gain , a good round or square will perform as good or better,
Completely agree with you, it works but its just a 60 degree top plate cutting angle with a 60 degree side plate.

You can do exactly the same thing with a round file for a lot less money

Hexa, Xcut you can sharpen with a raker file. Less junk to carry. Change the file tilt angle for durability vs. speed

McCulloch chain, neither .325" nor .375" (3/8")
Semi chisel, has been ground (though not by me!).

That is wild....I have never seen a chain like that before that has a combination of .325 & .375" links.

Yup , Mcculloch did it , I know they made .354 but haven’t seen it myself,
I did not know what it is untill I tried to use it on my 24"/84DL bars - too short, would ride on top of the drive sprocket.
I thought I was loosing it since it is 84DL.

It came to me from the US in a collective care package containing 5lbs of various chains.
