It too bad if your rakers are low enough and your saw has the Powa! 💪🏻😆
I sometimes do that, but I hate doing it (cheap China made chains).
It is not how a chainsaw and chain are meant to be used.
It strains both the PH and loop.

Just saying! ;)

Yup 👍, go big or go home lol , 1/4 file rules.
Makes sense for .404" I guess. ;)

I need to reinstate the .404" chains I have, run them on my primary PS-7900.
I shelved them because I couldn't get good cutting performance filing them.
Now that I have a grinder things might be better.

It will also wear out the link to the rivet on the heel of the blade if you lower the stop too much
True!
The more aggressive the rakers are set the more wear the chains tie straps, saws drive sprocket and bar rails encounter.
