Two are not like the others, and none of the others are the same/identical.
Courtesy of Steel wire embedded in residential trees, 3/8" LowProfile had no chance of surviving, multiple hits and they were violent.
Pole saw snagged a softer piece of wire, wound it all up around the sprocket under the cover.
NOT FUN!
Wrecked 2 3/8" LowProfile loops, damaged/dulled another 3/8" LP & one .325".
.325" is more durable than 3/8"LP!

I lost a square 325 tooth in very clean, very hard, dry as a bone wood, cookie cutting putting the 550MK2 through its paces.

Suspended about a foot above the ground, courtesy of my aggressive filing trying my best to bog the saw down, courtesy of an exceptional build by @Stump Shot that powered through it with ease.

A ported 550 might be better paired with a 3/8" chain.
My stock Dolmar PS-550 (Makita EA5600, 56cc) sure likes 3/8"!

3/8" is a noticeably stronger chassis than .325", but yes makes a wider kerf and as such eats power.

To me these past couple days 3/8" LP has proven to be weaker than .325", I am disappointed with it.
Encountering steel wire teeth bent out of shape and snapped off on 3/8" LP while .325" got severely dull but did not bend nor break.

I think both 3/8" LP & .325" were Oregon, both round ground semi chisel.

Can be, in my findings both can be fast and productive depending on the wood to be cut. Narrow Kerf .325" like Husqvarna X-Cut can be very fast on the smaller logs. 3/8" has more room for chip and therefor tends to be better in the larger logs.
Pick what you believe you will be cutting the most of and the other will still cut okay.
3/8 Low Pro ,
Littler saws seem to like this size chain best.

Torquey 56cc seems to like 3/8" bucking firewood logs, zippy 46cc is a beast with semi chisel .325" dismantling tree tops.

Yeah, the different pitches make sense!
