Thanks!! With all that gunk on there, it makes it look like the carb/cylinder is all one piece...lolCarb still mounted for orientation reference.
Generally any 34mm stroke cylinders on a 32mm stroke frame?
Did I read about Husqvarna 55 with 61 top?
No worries brother. Let me know if you need anymore dimensions. Haha yeah it's filthy for sure. Thanks!! With all that gunk on there, it makes it look like the carb/cylinder is all on piece...lol
Looks like it kinda petered out. Scarrs idea of the 2100 crank is interesting. Topped with a 395 big bore that's a 105.6 cc 288xp. These hybrids, strokers and hybrid/strokers intrigue me.Husky 288/395 Hybrid Build
I know what some of ya are probably thinking. It would be easier to just bore out the existing cylinder to 56mm and re plate it. BUT, I like doing things the hard way. There is a spare 394 top end down in my barn I can get measurements off of.opeforum.com

I hadn't heard this before. Just got a new 2100 P&C for the 285.Word around the log pile is that 2100 cranks are prone to big end failure.
Deets’s 43mm stroke 090 idea is pretty cool.
My neighbor just seized his bosses 661....Even a Husky rancher can whoop it now.288/395…so husky can keep up with a 661
Any further developments on the 361 stroker hybrid? At one point someone on eBay was selling a crank bearing(or seal?) bushing for the 440 crank swap.I’ve got a few photos but I didn’t do a very good job documenting so far. Plenty more to do. If it doesn’t crater I’ll try to do a writeup.

While I had a Echo 4910 apart I got a 49mm 361 big bore cylinder out and stared at them for a few minutes. If not mistaken the both have an 11mm piston pin. But to be honest I never checked since the 361 is side fed .....echo is bottom fed and mounting flange is a mile off.

What did you think of that 4910/357 hybrid? Was it stronger than a ported 4910?
I looked hard at 361 on a 4910. Unfortunately the base pattern is way off. IIRC the deck height is a problem as well. 357/359 can be squeezed in, 365special might even fit with enough effort. There are several other side fed cylinders that might work as well. When you’re down-stroking like that you want a jug off a saw with a high deck. You need to drop the jug, so adding a base plate isn’t practical. Luckily 4910 is 33mm stroke, so you only have 1mm to compensate for.

The 365, if possible looks like excellent candidate. Bottom fed 48mm closed quad netting 59.72cc
Not sure I could recommend that because the 550 XP already has been criticized for running a bit too warm. The carb is mounted too close to the cylinder and that sets up vapor lock that then leads to hot start troubles. Upgrading that engine to the 562 might make it worse. Just MHO.Anybody got a 550 to 562 conversion thread? Considering having a try.
