Some names were mentioned I hadn't thought of for a while ,lost track of them .I tried without success to cross reference Husky 3120 seals for Rup once .Rotax Robert,Robert Andrews told me in a e-mail exactly what was going to happen when Alan Mulally took over as CEO at Ford, lost track of him too .I'm not sure if Art Martin is still among the living .Contacts just got lost when a certain web forum owner had one of his "moments" .

sadly Art isn't with us anymore, his posts on AS are a reason to visit that shell of a forum
Art's wife gave/sold his racing related stuff to Mike upon his passing.
I am fortunate to have some of those things now to learn from.

I wish I would have had the chance to meet Art before he passed away. I found out afterwards that he only lived ten minutes away from me.

He must of been one helluva guy/racer. There is a pretty good legacy that come with his name

Some place on one of my hard drives I have a picture of one of Art's chains .It was 1/2" chisel chain with the oddest tooth configuration I ever saw .A normal full comp chain is cutter space cutter .His was cutter cutter space . He talked about "full house" chain which had no space between the cutters .Evidently that one took a lot of power to run .
The famous 090 had check valves in the transfer ports and no pipe and ran at about 9,000 rpm .He didn't go into any specific detail about the porting carb etc .--Just things I remember .

Utah, unfortunately.....
Very good read, Dave. I have visited with Mike a few times, and Jon once. As we all lived just a few highway exits apart.

Interesting side note: I wasn't given any warning prior to meeting Jon. I suppose Mike wasn't worried about whether or not we would get along.
