From what I understand it's been std on at least the professional saws for a long timeCorrect me if I’m wrong but of the news mentioned the 2-piece crank is a new thing to Husqvarna

Maybe for the 5 series stuff, but the 3 series and previous where all 3 piece cranks.
https://www.husqvarna.com/us/discover/90cc-chainsaw-cutting-capacity/ I thought cutting capacity was not how fast a saw cuts through wood..... I thought it was measured by how much wood a saw puts on the ground/cuts up per tank of gas? Interesting though regardless...

Yes I agree on that toohttps://www.poulanpro.com/tdrdownload//pub000004856/doc000138811 They talk about the “connectivity device installation” in this manual, interesting looking stuff. If they made it so you don’t need a dealer anymore for software updates and troubleshooting... that’s awesome.

Yup, I guess loggers and tree guys go out into the woods to cut cookies for lumber? It sure is fun cutting cookies though... definitely gives a idea of the cut speed/power aspect. But that’s only one part of the whole picture regarding “cutting capacity” as they refer to it.Cookie cutters rejoice![emoji1]

I stopped selling firewood in 2012, so now I cut to heat my house and my brothers, plus a few odd removals for pay every now and then. No not a professional, but have done my fair share the past almost 30 years now, I started young. One thing is for sure, at 43 I have no doubt I can't piss that far anymore.[emoji1]If I cut for a living I might get jaded about cutting cookies, but I'm a homeowner, and that doesn't bother me, so i still enjoy it. There's only so much firewood, and threatening trees that need cutting, so, a bit of cookie cutting takes up the slack..
