@JohnnyBlade the 162 tank mounts are same as 3120 upper handle mount.
Fine thread? I was able to score what i needed on the AVs but this is interesting..... so ur saying they would still be available from the dealer but under a different part number maybe? That could be cool for the metal tank guys out there!

That is correct for an 86.
Thank you, it was sold to me as a SE but I know the early XP’s had SE on the tag. Seems that 85 was the year the XP sticker was added to the top cover? My fingers were crossed that the carcass had a good oem cylinder, bonus on it being a minty XP jug and the 224A carb to boot.

Yes, looks to be mid/late 85 that the XP designation came out. I currently have an 85 2100CD labeled XP on the bench.
I have not seen a Swedish built 266 with XP on the tag, only the later 90's saws built in Yugoslavia/Slovenia.

I have had a bit of a hard time finding either a 61 grey top cover or a 266 top cover....if anyone knows of one or has one, it would help me out! I picked up another blown up 61, this time to do a big bore on. I have most of the parts located except for a 61 grey top or 266 top to fit a 272 or 268 cylinder. It was missing it's grey cover unfortunately, but it was a really good price.

@davidwyby Haha! I was just messing. I know how it is when you have hard to find parts you want to keep. I need to settle down and be patient because this build is still going to be a few months out. Have a good one my friend, stay warm. It's 21 degrees here in East Texas.

I have more parts for sure there’s just no telling when I’ll get the time to find them in all my other parts boxes/bins in my shop loft
