@Spike60
I finally got a newtop 272 in
I believe this is who makes it for holzforma/farmertecIMG_20240213_170406.jpgi've been trying to get a newtop/craftop
Since i saw them online over 15 year's ago
I couldn't get any imported back then IMG_20240213_170419.jpg
It has a goofy toggle stop switch and dogleg pull handle

It's a strong runner i have like 6 oem 272s
And this is right there with them.
I might advance the timing some when i do the muffler mod.
It's my favorite clone saw so far
And i have tons of oem part's for it.IMG_20240214_152620.jpgIMG_20240213_164847.jpg

I'm trying to buy one of these 257/262 clones Craftop-Professional-Chainsaw-6200.jpgimages (4).jpegScreenshot_2024-02-14-10-00-30-740.jpg
This outfit has made 61/268/272 clones for 21 year's
I'm surprised they haven't been imported.

That's not a 154 chassis clone, that's a 162 chassis. My guess is open port 48mm, so a 61 clone. I would be very surprised if it was a closed port 162/630 jug.

Yeah, I agree it's on the 61 chassis. Indent for the serial number tag is below the oil cap. On a 257/262 it was above the oil cap. Also the case just above the fuel cap is different. As it should curve on a 262. Plus we should be able to see the choke lever above the switch on the left side of a 262.

Any teething issues with that 272 to deal with? Like the oil pumps on the clone 288's? Or has it been fine out of the box? I'm told that Farmertec and Neotec source their plastic from the same supplier. Things like top and bottom ends are unique to each brand.

I haven't had time I've only tuned it wood it feels as strong as my oem 272s
starts, runs, oils perfectly so far at least.
but just like the 288s the rope was extremely short
set up for little people i guess.
Just like the 288s and 372xt i got in
they feel really well built and solid.

I've been running a 288 a lot it's running and oiling great so far.
I have oem oil pumps for the 272 and 288s if they go out.
The oil pumps on the 7 365/372s I've built over the last 6 year's have never had an issue.
Surely they'll get the pumps on the 272,288,395s figured out.
These new farmertec cylinders I've looked at so far are much better looking than the one's from 6 year's ago.
I'll tear the 272 down and check it
When i get a chance.

I posted in the swap meet thread but I need a couple 162 caps. I think mine is fuel and buddy’s is oil.

That's the 357/359 bearings that are made in Japan.
The top covers are the same ones I posted earlier, from the same UK based seller.
I didn't notice
