Figured this was a good spot to ask.
Working on a 272k cutoff saw. New ring and clutch bearing showed up today. Started assembly and found this. Musta overlooked on tear down. This is bad right?

Intake side of cylinder is worn as well as piston skirt(lower side in photo). Also what should ring gap be? .015 fits with light pressure. Can see it in cylinder pic.

New p/c? Or run it?

.15 is a bit large but should be fine.
I'd replace that cylinder by the looks of the pic
Those cutoff saws have a rough life.

.015 was measured where ring is in pic. Pushed into cylinder above intake is a tight .013.
And being a county piece of equipment, it has had a rougher life than most.

Who’s got a good p/c they wanna sail?

I'm working on getting both a 625 and 670 together and running, can anyone help out some parts I need before I head to ebay? Shipping would be to Minnesota 55448

- Inner/Outer dogs spikes
- Inner/Outer bar guide plates
- Chain catcher
- Outer smooth felling dog
- Muffler support bracket

Does anyone know if the intake sleeve #503597501 can be substituted with a different #?

I’ve got a 625 I’m working on with an air leak at the carb/boot and it’s missing the sleeve.

Did they make these?
I have some but I think they are all inners.
Without teeth they only act as a bumper for the case. Seems like the smooth ones are aluminum

I think they might. Look at the old 61/266/268/272 ipl's on Jackssmallengines, they should tell you.
