This is why I thought it is leaking, I see now it is from 2021, and they probably sell a better product now.
Interestingly, if Duke has not received bearings that follow the specifications of the original bearing, there is a good reason not to buy the bearing from him.

Hi, thank you for the clarification around the PTO bearing. I did actually already split the case and put it together again with SKF 6201/C3 on both sides, I also purchases OEM oil seals, when I discovered that something was wrong. I will probably order the proposed bearing from Duke, I cannot give up now. I also need a new piston, do you have any recomandations? The cylinder is a Gilardoni.

I installed a piston with windows / It's a pity that you didn't read the previous posts, there are not too many of them

I was amazed that it worked at all after such changes / the crankshaft was corroded on every possible bearing 4 pcs

This 42 crankcase is also corroded, luckily in the oil tank, I wonder if the corrosion will continue or not, I did dremel and paint it, I don't have experience to know how much that helps.

Hi Harald and welcome to OPE.
The crank bearing on the chain side (PTO) has been discontinued by Husqvarna, must be close to 10 years ago.

There are aftermarket bearings to get hold of (I've never used them), Duke is a seller, and the other is Skogsverktyg Sverige (the Swedish ones don't ship across the border, so you're dependent on a Swedish friend to be the middleman).

You can find new slacker 543301, but I can't say how serious these bearing shops are. And they are very expensive, over 100$ + vat & shipping.
Hi Tor, FYI Skogsverktyg told me they are willing to ship to Norway.
Anyway for the moment I consider to keep both the original piston and the bearing on the PTO side, and just replace the oil seal and piston ring.

If you buy from him, he also sells cheap Stihl 23 RS Pro chains, and is cheap at TsuMura bar.

Mine doesn't have special on the top cover but special on the recoil. So I guess my question is, how do you know you have a special and not a recoil with a badge on it?

I don't think there was a difference except that the orange top cover had a special decal, while the gray top cover had 42 printed.
The decal on the starter cover was also different, the one for the orange top cover was silver while the one for the gray top cover was gray.

Later, there was a starter cover with 42 special, around 1992 and newer.

But, I've never had a 42 special from that era myself, ie, older then 1992.

Mines a 92 with starter cover decal. But to my question, how can you tell that it's a Special? The jug? It's just like if you had a 261 without the tag and put a 262 starter cover on it. You would have no way of knowing just looking at it.
