I am hoping to make that happen on the weekend

The fuel cap weeps fuel so I am chasing one of them now.

What sort of RPM do these saws usually tune to?

I stole a fuel cap from the 2101 and no more leaks.
I am going to give it a run and tune it on Sunday in some timber.
Will see if I can get a video of it in action.

I plan to run it, then probably pull the jug and take the porting from 105/122/75 to 102/122/77 and then try it again

I have a mate with a nasty old ironbark stump in front of his shed that he wants gone.
Might fit up the dog spikes and 42" bar and see how the big girl takes on a 3' thick well aged concrete stump

I am also thinking of removing the chain brake that doesnt work properly
Its ugly, dont work and its not a saw I will be carrying around wearing a 42" bar needing the chain brake on.

To be honest, I never use the chain brake on any of my smaller saws anyway

I have a Makita 9" grinder and diamond wheel that I spent most of the morning on today cutting concrete

I tested a 372 and 268 in the log earlier in the week and they would stall in it if I lent on them

Sorry should have been clearer. I meant chainsaw chain grinder/sharpener. Was asking because the crud in that log and kissing the dirt will kill a sharp chain pretty quick and necessitate resharpening often.

Ahhhh yeah, that stuff killed the chain.
The tree came down in a big storm and that section of the truck is sitting a couple inched down in the dirt.
I knew it would dull the chain but I only wanted to make a few cuts to test it
I did one cut before the video on the brand new chain, the one in the video and one more after.
The chips got a bit dusty towards the end of the 3rd cut so I shut it down content that it worked and put it back in the truck.

I dont have a grinder, only hand file

I would love to have some nice round clean timber to test saws in but unfortunately.........

Its why I only hand file. Generally need to sharpen the chain every tank of fuel in this stuff at a minimum

Well it seems the oil pump is not putting out any oil to the bar.
Aux oiler button does the job but the oil pump does naught.

Now to work out why.

There is always something isnt there

Yep!

I have a couple ideas.

When I tip the saw on its side and leave it there for a while, some bar oil runs out from behind the oil pump. This tells me that the replacement outer o ring I fitted is stopping the oil pump seating deep enough and causing it to suck air.
The other possibility is that some crap has lifted from the oil tank (that I cleaned out the best I could) and blocked the oil pickup

I will get it it soon, the Rat 064 is consuming my interest at the moment
