TriLink for play chain?
Give it a try, let us know how it works. :)

What does clipping the heel do?
Better chip clearance, better chip flow?
Clip the heal makes for smoother bore cutting or so I've been told.
It was free chain. I was bored and had beer in the fridge and some files. I have no idea how to make a fast chain so I grabbed said beer and files and that's what i came up with. Clipping the heels and the dog bone stuff was unnecessary but oh well.

That's old chipper chain.
And it is in .050" gauge.
Not a very impressive chain in terms of cutting performance even on a short bar.

It was basically the first design that was after scratcher chain, so an improvement.
I think it would work well for milling?

Archer loop, 3/8", full chisel, round ground on my new to me AMA MAXX grinder, almost as aggressive as it gets (55° can't go shallower, 30° can go to 35°, 0° can go 15° either way)

@Wilhelm glad you like the MAXX grinders, I have one going on for 20 years, chugging along to this day.

I like mine because it can grind into the tooth from both directions, no need to reverse the motor each time.

Fastest cutting self evolving work chain, just sharpen normally past the witness mark so You get a "triangle" cutter.
This is one of my well used work chains, no cutter bent nor missing yet.
Left filed, right still needs filing.
