Australia sounds awful! No offense of course but everything there wants to kill you and your wood is called iron bark!? Wtf, and we think it's so bad here,we're Pussies.

Jms you are an absolute legend.
Let me know what I owe you.

I rang my local Stihl stop this morning and I was completely wrong on my guess at the OEM piston pricing

Piston $282
Rings $51
Wrist pin..... I told him to stop and I would get back to him

JHC!

Are they the ones with the big flat leaves terry?
Edit: yep, just checked your link. When I was on an army cadet camp in high school, one of the other kids thought the nice big leaves on these would be perfect toilet paper. It didn't end well!

Do you have a drop bear problem up your way?

I really can't express how greatfull I am for the help and advice.

I am really excited about this build.
I am going to make one of the blocks like MM uses to hold the cylinder for a touch of work in a friends laythe

Does anyone have any comments on my question regarding bottle necks in the fuel line and filter or of the preferred carb to use?

I use a wj69 with a HD filter with the filter part cut out and a foam filter over it.

Nope, I think the locals cleaned them out about 70-80 years ago.

Cool, thanks mate,
Just want to make sure I have all the bases covered.
It needs to be reliable, especially when one of those drop bears attack and you need to defend your self with the saw.

Awesome saws in the vids too boys!!!
