G’day, new here, thanks to Crocky28 for the link to find more on this saw as there is little around for obvious reasons. I have been running a stock 592xp in Au for a short while, very happy with it so far.

Hi Fred. Welcome along.

I have two 550xp mkll . The auto tune is better than the oe 550xp . IMO it's not as good as the 572xp and the 592xp . That being said , the new 550xp mkll auto tune is good . I have no complaints with it . My oldest 550xp mkll is two and half years old and has been run hard for most of it's life .

isn't it the same "Auto Tune 2" workin in the 550 Mark 2 and in the 572?

Thanks for the reception.
Noticed a few comments on the 592xp not oiling well? I initially had this issue from first startup.
My saw came with a 24” xtough light bar, I wanted to just buy the powerhead but had no option. I wasn’t even going to run the bar at all, but the dealer insisted it had to be run. So that afternoon I ran with this combination. The bar ran extremely hot, and obviously wasn’t oiling well after a short time. I always run the oil pump at maximum on all my saws, somewhat disappointed I removed it and found that the 90degree large oil hole was blocked tightly with sawdust, I cleaned and ran it again, with the same results, but this time found sawdust up inside the rubber groove and line! One tank of fuel sees blueing on the bar end. It now hangs on the wall I replaced the bar with a thirty year old 24” oregon powermatch and it oiled and ran fine! My opinion- no lead in on the large oil hole causes sawdust to hit it squarely and be forced back into the oil feed slot/line. Also there’s a variation of a couple on mm in bar slot depth, it’s shallow just at the tail end and then deepens, I don’t know why but I’m not a fan of this. I run Duralite’s without issues and they’re oil hole is smaller and has a lead in. So maybe that’s an area to investigate? Food for thought maybe!

You can always do a simple mod to bar to make it oil much better.

Draw a hole in the bar
When this case large the oil hole in the bar.
I have pretty much drilled out all my oil holes except for two bars that I have which are the tuff light bars they seem to have larger oil holes

Yes have considered that, easy, but it’s under warranty and replacement I’m told is possibly to be given, so? When I’m back home I’ll be talking to the dealer where I purchased it or direct. Another person has since had the same issue.

The clear coat they put on the bars sometimes clogs up the holes , you have to clear it out .

It has a huge hole standard.
