I never had an issue when Hot starting a 5 series Husqvarna. Here also what for You.
^You shouldn’t have to do any of that when hot starting a saw. If your doing ground work, crane jobs, rigging, chipping when a saw gets used for a short period then sits till the next pick or top. What’s the point of a return to start switch if it won’t start in that position, It’s annoying as f*ck.
After the 3 series they’ve had many bottom end and other issues with the 5 series saws at work. Another tree company the owner tried 3 or 4 562 and gave up, brand new one this year back at the dealer for updates The 5 series are nice when they run right.
I have never had starting issues with any saw that was 100% if there was something wrong obviously it has a problems, but if everything is working as it should, pop off you go. I'm also guessing where you live you rarely run a saw in hot temperatures with crazy humidity?I don't get it! All my auto-tune saws have been one pull warm restarts. Just lucky I guess, have times when 4-5 pulls are needed on cold starts, or saw was flooded and needed several pulls (my fault). Some people should just use old carbed saws, they never have starting issues.
Speaking of manual carbs, anyone having a good experience with the 585?... Some people should just use old carbed saws, they never have starting issues.

I agree that the auto tune on the 572xp is perfect . I have had zero problems with the auto tune on the 592xp .I have never had starting issues with any saw that was 100% if there was something wrong obviously it has a problems, but if everything is working as it should, pop off you go. Again the fact Husqvarna had to make a video, the fact they had to instruct you not to use the decomp, says there is a problem.
Look I know some some don't like when something about a particular brand is said, but I don't care I have zero brand loyalty, I just report what I see, which isn't necessarily what everyone does. I've stated the best running AT or Mtronic saw I've had my hand on is the 572xp, the 592xp is pretty good too. [emoji3577]

Most the time I don't use decomps. Old school I guess. But is it just me, or it seems when a guy even me, does use a decomp, yeah its not as hard a pull. But seems more pulls before firing. On most saws.Maybe they made that video to inform owners of 550xp's how to start their saws, because though evolution of 550xp to 550xpmkII they found starting saws was done by not using decompression valve, so deleted decompression from 550 mkII's. I also could care less which brand of saws people purchase, it's not my money. Don't have a problem starting any of them, that's why I own them, like them all.
Yes, although it seems to me that the main advantage of a decomp valve is less wear & tear on the starter assembly. Most the time I don't use decomps. Old school I guess. I have two 550xp mkll . The auto tune is better than the oe 550xp . IMO it's not as good as the 572xp and the 592xp . That being said , the new 550xp mkll auto tune is good . I have no complaints with it . My oldest 550xp mkll is two and half years old and has been run hard for most of it's life .How’s the auto tune working for the mk2 550. It’s been out long enough. Pretty trouble free like the 572? I have a ported mk1 that has never given me an issue…I also don’t run it much lol. But when I do she’s a blast! Light, nimble, and lots of power!
