Haha yeah I remember back in the 80s made in Japan meant the same thing as made in China today

Was going to say, we don't need to send them, they are stealing it, and considering their size as compared to Japan … this should be a major concern to us going forward.

I dread the day the US (and our allies) are not the major world powers, but that day seems to be coming much faster than I would like. Seems like too many folks don't really understand the potential danger.

I'm sick of political division also, but let's not pretend it is one sided. For four years our President was not accepted and was even prosecuted.

I also long for the day when we could discuss political differences with anyone getting hysterical or butt hurt, but it seems, unfortunately, that we are not moving in that direction.

I know a few people with opposing points of view that I can still discuss things w/o anyone being offended, but the numbers have dwindled fast and IMO it is not healthy for us.

That is my 2 cents, I'll return to saws now.

Huh? I didn't say anything disparaging about anyone who voted for either platform.

I didn't go there. I don't hate anyone, whether they vote similar to me or not.

But since you went there, I will respond. I took an oath to support and defend the constitution of the United States, against all enemies, both foreign and domestic. Socialism is voluntary Communism and is therefore diametrically opposed to the ideals set forth in said constitution.

The political "divide" in this country is because a certain segment of the country wants to force their viewpoint on everyone else. I am of the opinion that we all be free to do whatever we want as long as we are not endangering our fellow man.

I didn't create the divide, I didn't throw molotov cocktails at police, I didn't burn down buildings for perceived racial injustices, I didn't harass innocent people eating in a restaurant who believe different than I do, I didn't sucker punch elderly folks walking down the sidewalk, I didn't try to take over a city to establish my own Communist utopia, I didn't block traffic on interstates and main thoroughfares to impede normal everyday folks and soccer moms to intimidate them, I didn't pull people out of their cars and give them a beatdown, I didn't brandish firearms against innocent civilians.

I did none of the things that have driven the wedge deeper, but I will not be painted into a corner because I made a disparaging comment about the biggest idiot to make it to White House since Jimmy Carter.

I respect you Randy. I think you're a stand up guy. This is your house, therefore I will follow your rules.

Strangely people always think I'm a Democrat if I call someone out for making remarks like "Sleepy Joe and Cali-Ho".

I don't like Trump.....but I don't call him names. I'd like to think as grown ass men we could leave the child like behavior to the children.

I live in deep red Tennessee......and I like it here. That doesn't mean I have to blindly follow any political party though. I'll call a spade a spade regardless of the D or R before their name. Country over party and all that.

My biggest concern, and no one addresses it enough, is not having 2 Americas, one where those here legally pay their taxes, comply with zoning, and pay through the nose for health care and higher education.

One group is allowed to work off the books w/o any enforcement while those here legally are dinged for every infraction.

Zoning is not enforced in houses with numerous families, but if you have to repair your deck you have to jump through zoning hoops.

My Daughter, her Husband and their 3 kids should not have to pay through the nose for health care, with numerous non covered costs, while those here illegally get everything for free - are not even asked if they can pay a deductible, and are given a list of available services.

In NY illegals get higher education, including room and board for free! We don't even do that for the kids from Gold Star families. My Grandkids should not have to pay huge amounts for higher education to cover the cost of illegals who go for free.

It is not bias to not want to be treated as a second class citizen!
