I doubt it. Only seen 1 44 that was truly impressive. Guy in MO has it for a race saw.

i may be a dumb farmboy from wv but the 046 is in the 70cc class the 046 is 76 cc not 6 cc larger if you want to go with the 70.7 spec and 76.5 spec between the 044 and 046 if the 046 was a 80 cc saw the first number in the spec would be a 8 were not estimating here lol

Yesp.

I agree on the Saw cc view too.

You guys are making me nervous. I just bought a 440 and I'm going to sell my 460. Now you got me scared that I'm making a bad choice. Heated handles is the reason for the switch, so there's a nice feature the 440 that the 460 is lacking.

I haven't put the same bar on them, but the 440 is definitely smaller and lighter. The 460 does have noticeably more power, though. Maybe if I was logging and felling trees all day I'd want the 460, but hopefully for my occasional use, I'll be okay with nothing between my 440 and my 660. The 660 obviously has more power than both, so I'll probably do most of my felling with that saw and use the 440 for firewood bucking, but if I was lugging it around, I could see wanting a lighter saw than the 660.

The 460 has served me very well, and it is a fun saw. I'm hoping that after a BG delete and a timing advance the 440 is a similarly fun saw to cut wood with. I'll probably run a 20" bar on it, so I think I'm that application it shouldn't be much behind a 460.

I say run it for a bit before you sell the 460. Bucking I doubt you notice the weight much, you will notice the power difference, IMO...

Mod the 44 a little and they'll be close power wise unless you just have an exceptional 46. My heated handle saw is a 266. I'd like a 2171 or 461 but I can deal with this one for now

Can not wait till spring in order to have my own 70cc shootout.

I always think the 70cc class is hotrod class... a lot of different models and all are strong in their own ways.

I outnumber my 80-90cc saws with 70cc saws.

044,441,461,7900

Compared to the064 and 661

That064 ia hard to put down though

Sent from my non internal combustion device.
