That 7310 surly isnt standard is it ? I guess folks go for the 7910 due to more power in the same frame saw. What do you think...7910 = beefed up 7310 ..or..7310 =de tuned 7910 ?Hey @huskihl is this your favorite
These 7310 are runners why nobody talks about them is beyond me.
Are they are overshadowed by the 7900?
It runs about the same as the 7900. It might be different if the 7900 had the better slab sided pistonHey @huskihl is this your favorite

How much do you regret it? That saw in the video can be yours as soon as you're readyI was in slow motion on purchasing a PS-7310 and missed the opportunity - still regretting it.
I would love to have a PS-7300 or PS-7310.
I regret not having jumped all over it for 320$!How much do you regret it? That saw in the video can be yours as soon as you're ready
You have to remember that not all of us cut foam wood.If your 044 only pulls a 20 inch bar something is wrong with it.
This is one of the reasons I don't like a 044 or 372.the 044 has a crappy bushing for crank worm gear the oiler is stingy and for less than 6 cc the 046 is a better choice the 044 is 50mm and the 046 is 52mm
I haven't ported but maybe a dozen 044's and I only was really happy with one.I doubt it. Only seen 1 44 that was truly impressive. Guy in MO has it for a race saw.

A 044 is a 20" bar saw to me.
It will run a 24" sure but if I need a 24" in the hard woods here it will be on a 064.
Well ... I didnt see that coming J !!The only stock 70cc saw I've ever ran that ran a 24" to suit me is my pick for the best 70cc,and yes it's still 70cc.
It's not it's fault everyone else's is smaller.
I've had to deal with that my whole life.View attachment 49113
064's are very rare here also, there all used up and gone.Jason, in the world of ported chainsaws it would be hard to argue with you, and the 064 is likely king (power/weight).
But around here 064s are about as rare as hen's teeth, and most of my chainsaw life was before I ever heard of porting a saw.
In un ported form, the 044/440 does very well against a 460 or 660. In fact, with stock 7 pin rims, and bars of 24" or less (90% of our cutting) they will usually out run a stock 660.
In fact, in stock form, Bret (Smittybilt) thought my 044 was out running my 046. I thought they were about equal, but that still did not cut it. So I sent my 046 for a visit with Bret and the rest is history!
I still like the versatility of the 70 cc saws, as I can limb with an 044 far longer than I can with a 460. Age may be a factor in that, but we all choose what works for us and our situations.
It's the only one that has enough power and oils enough to run a longer bar.Well ... I didnt see that coming J !!
