Do the stiffer springs make a noticeable difference like the R springs did on the 441

Sent from my non internal combustion device.
Haven't tried them yet

Ordered a new 7910 today, it will be going to see Randy, so it may become my new favorite 70cc saw, but it will take a lot for me to say it is better then my MOFO 044.

You will likely end up with a favorite 70 cc saw, and a favorite 80 cc saw! No need to choose, and the addl ccs should make a difference.

Is a 440 hybrid still in 70cc class ?

I call it an 80cc, as I like to go by every 10 cc, +/- 5, but that is just me. (actual is 76.5 cc). Other people use different systems, like everything in the 70 cc range, etc. And as Mike previously pointed out, going by cubes results in 15 cc ranges.

I think of the 7900, 7910, 460, 461, & 576 as 80 cc saws, as the are a good deal larger, and usually heavier, than true 70 cc saws (044/440, 372, etc).

I agree with this thats why the majority consider the 365 a 70cc saw. When I was first thinking of this thread I had this in mind thinking everybody's on the same page.
But how boring would that be if we all agreed all the time:cbiggrin:we all think different.Thats one way how we learn right.

i may be a dumb farmboy from wv but the 046 is in the 70cc class the 046 is 76 cc not 6 cc larger if you want to go with the 70.7 spec and 76.5 spec between the 044 and 046 if the 046 was a 80 cc saw the first number in the spec would be a 8 were not estimating here lol

(response to mdavlee) I thought it was 76.5!!! It is heavy for that size!

I hear that is going to be the size of the new 462, guess they like that for some reason?

What size is the piston, 53???

The weight increase is less % than the cc increase.

the 044 has a crappy bushing for crank worm gear the oiler is stingy and for less than 6 cc the 046 is a better choice the 044 is 50mm and the 046 is 52mm
