Stihl 046/460 D Jug. Are there benefits using it on a 460, or better using it on a Hybrid?

Right where I was and I checked a few times. I checked the D jugs twice on a 460 case and once on a 440 case because the member who sent them said he got 42 squish. I came in at 30-32 on the D's. so I intentionally left the squish tight for fine adjustment in his shop. He can add whatever gasket material he wants.

If you really examine the 2 cut chambers it appears the the Hemi chamber has better plug placement. Maybe the D has more squish velocity behind the plug?

The D has a larger band than the Hemi with the same amount of material removed.

U got any way to cc em??

Looks good Brian. Did you do the machinework yourself?

If you can't start it, you can't run it.

That's what I tell people when they try to start muh saws
I used to be young too Deets. Couldn't let something heavy be moved by anyone but myself. Had to show just how strong my dad built me.

I've found it much easier in the last decade to let the young guys move stuff and then compliment them. Works great.

I've found zero issues with having a decomp on any saw. I think it's a great option. Also makes a saw more marketable because no one will fear not being able to start it.

Main reason I get rid of my decomps is that they leak by too often.

Ive worked on a few saws in my life and have yet to have any decomp trouble.
I never plug them and I've also never used one.
Saw starts faster without it.

Had a old saw mechanic tell me that it either needs to be used or not at all, rarely used ones will carbon build then when you use it the seal is lost.

If compression goes up a decomp should work better so I see no reason to plug one.
Also most plugs are shorter than the decomp so your adding cc's.
