A "ape" has a different meaning out here in the country but I cannot explain more without pissing off folks

Yeah...I see how that might get a tad dicey!
That word came up in a Men's Fellowship a few days ago.

A couple of the church's old-timers and one retired professor shared their experiences and reference points.
Being raised in the Deep South where most things are 25 yrs behind, I wasn't shocked, yet most of the young guys were speechless...:chuck::crybaby2:

You may already know this, but you’d be amazed at how few amps you can draw per phase, and subsequently how small a conductor you can use per phase with high voltage 3-phase and still be safe.

Like 40 amps per leg at 575 for a 75 horse mixer motor. It’s incredible. Never in my life would I have imagined it until I started running a concrete plant and actually had to work on it.

Did some garden tending for a few hours, earlier in the day,
and then debugged a Ryobi 18V Li-Ion battery pack. Found one dead cell.
I'll try replacing the one in a couple of days.

I wish I could debug my dead arse Lith-Ion Milwaukee 18volt batteries. I joke electricity is not a mystery but I damn sure will admit these POS batteries sure are. Yesterday two of my sons and I were at a tractor show and swap meet. There were tons of folks selling Milwaukee and DeWalt tools and spare batteries and I just shook my head.

Today we lowered my Mom and Dads old house onto its new basement.
Then removed the two steel beams that we had borrowed
It was a big let down 😎
Once the last two beam are removed the final wall sections will be filled
Came up with a roller for the beam that worked awesome.

We had our house jacked 25 years ago. We had a new basement put in and excavated for the additions. The guys that do the jacking are really in demand. The next house they were jacking was in the UP.

Sat in my car 1 1/2 hours one way and about 2 1/2 hours the other way crossing a border getting my sister & niece to the airport.
For perspective , the travel time to the border and from the border to the airport is about 40 + 45 minutes, or 85 minutes according to the GPS.

What a bummer, never again.
I'll rather travel twice the distance to another airport than sit and wonder when the line of cars will move at least a little.
That border crossing is rumored to have wait times of over 5 hours so I guess I got lucky.

I realize you are talking about European borders but I just shake my head at the folks "across the border" in Iowa. Here is Illinois we drive across the border daily and sometimes many times a day. We are separated by the "Big Muddy Mississippi River". As I sit here typing I am in Illinois and I can look out across the river to Iowa. There are folks 4 miles into Iowa that have lived there a lifetime and never crossed the river. They think Illinois is a damn foreign country. Well that is unless they want to come over here to cook their meth.

I have a friend in Northern Illinois that if I want to go see him I drive from Illinois across to Iowa. I then drive along the river in Iowa and cross into Wisconsin. I then drive along southern Wisconsin and drop back down into Illinois.
