I'm going to be running a lightweight 28 on mine too with 8 pin, seems like an awesome combo can't wait to try it. Your 394 will probably get even more power as you break it in more, how many tanks do you have on her? Seemed to run great in your video

Thanks for the compliment. I think it has more in it, but I have it tuned on the rich side for break-in. I have about two tanks through it as of now, maybe a smidge less.

Can someone enlighten me on the eliminator top covers? I'm just wondering what the difference is between it and a regular high top cover.
I'm not really a high top fan. I like the filter, but they aren't as sleek looking. For me, the blue cover eliminates what little interest I had in the high top.

Sounds like your rakers are a little low Jim. Or that is very hard piece of wood.
The rakers were actually a rollercoaster ride. lol
I evened them out last night and put a swipe or two on the teeth to run it again today.
It's a butt end from a dead standing tree that died from disease. It don't get much harder than that. The top end on the saw is literally brand new. You can hear it starting to clear its voice just after midway through the second cut.
It was hard to gauge this thing until I compared it to the big saw medley I did and this 288 before break in cuts as fast as most of the big saws in that some log.

Today my plan is to do a same bar and chain comparison between a 394, 390, 576, and that 288.

I'll send you a box of doughnuts and shipping $ for the loser of your comparison!

The shipping is gonna be uhhhh.....

Naah...shipping isn't really that large of a variable....the handling fees though, those could be prohibitive for a youngster on a budget (like me). I'd be better off just watching the comparison. I'll still send the doughnuts..but without a saw in trade, they won't be Krispy Kreme's
