Question :
Has anyone tried a later model aftermarket bar & chain combo on one of these ?
The bar is an original Homelite OE but all the stampings are worn off .
It is also a hard tip and I'd rather see a more modern sprocket tipped bar on here .

Don’t forget get they make bar stud shims, a simple drill bit will align the oil port. It’s cutting wood, not landing on the moon.

About the bar… I’m almost certain a ko95 will fit. You might have to make the adjustment holes bigger or make the adjustment lug smaller.

Why?
They seem very well built .
Took me a few tries to get the decompressor spring together but it's on there.

I have no explanation. I’ve just seen literally dozens in boxes that will never be reassembled.

@heimannm , Mark, do you have any opinion on which condensor to go with for a Homelite EZ, Phelon or Wico?

I don't know those two in particular, but in general all that I have tested were around 0.2 - 0.25 µF.

Leons' website says one won't work in place of the other .
I ran the P/N . Some say it fits both , others say you need one or the other .

I have used some similar heat shrink tubing for handle bars, you have to work it pretty carefully to avoid wrinkles in the inside radius.



Don't ask me where I got it, that has been too many months ago...
