I could shift so many 044 cylinders, the amount of 044's I see that need a fresh top end is unreal. Now a model id absolutely love to see done is an 038 magnum, gives a bolt on upgrade to anyone with an 038 of any dress up, super, magnum etc. With a bolt on carb upgrade if only a normal 038. I'd be happy to provide a ported 038 mag cylinder down the road some for a casting, however I'm sure randy could do a much finer job given my relative lack of experience

346 cylinder is $105. All the other huskies are under $200 pretty much. Not that they wouldn't sell but it would be hard to convince someone to spend more for a Taiwan or Chinese brand

And on top of that the average woodtick could care less about chainsaw performance.

In that case they would be better off with a 30$ aftermarket cylinder. I know alota my customers when I give them the choice of oem stihl price or aftermarket which do yall think they choose?

With a bit of descriptive literature telling the MMWS story you would hope the cylinders will be looked upon very differently to other standard AM units. Meteor have got a good rep on there ability to run strong and i think the CROSS ..MMWS brand should become the same .

I can tell u now for sure. If I tell a customer that a new oem cylinder and piston is 170$ or aftermarket is 30 to 40 for the el cheapo cylinder they wanna pay for aftermarket.

Most of the guys i know in the wood bidness dont rebuild saws they just buy new ones...but...i think if randys jug is marketed well it should work out pretty good.

Nice to see this come to fruition. Remember a couple years ago a guy was talking about having aftermarket copy ported cylinders for bolt on sells. Dont know what ever happened to that one.

If it wasnt for aftermarket we would have never had all of our faster bolt on parts for our cars etc. Intakes etc etc etc etc.

I offer 3 things on rebuilds.

1 Redneck clean up old OEM cylinder if possible, if not used OEM.

2 Aftermarket

3 OEM new

All take 1 and only 3 if has to be. Never had one request cheaper aftermarket. Even though I have done saws myself that way.

Ya but thats all thats down here Randy. I see a few 044, 440, 026 on occassions to repair but mostly Poulans, small huskies, ms170, 180, 210, 250, 251. 290 farmboss and husky 455 ranchers and jonesered equals r popular here. Even logging outfits buy polesaws and TSC Jonsereds and such. U wont find for the most part around here anyone spending 1200 to 1400 on a 661c. It just dont happen
