Jeeeesh. No reason to be that hard on the equipment. Get him an axe and a bow saw to use for a few days. I bet he'd treat the saws a little better.
Ok I see now. I had Mdavlee explain it. I left these 372s like that and this 066 I just did opens on exhaust side 1stView attachment 33642View attachment 33643
Okay I got to page 7 and got too excited so apologies if I missed anything, but I'm ridiculously interested in stocking these cylinders as they come out for different stihls over here in the UK.
Anything like this is something I'd love to get behind!
Also I'd like to second an earlier post about an 044/440 cylinder, I see loads of these coming through the shop, seem to be a really popular sized saw in the UK
Hi Randy

I believe the point of these cylinder kits is to sell to a person that is not set up to do machining work. Like motorcycles, snowmobiles, diesel truck, etc. these aftermarket performance upgrades will sell best for the average guy wanting an upgrade, with a bolt on performance upgrade. May be wrong, but that is why I would purchase one, as long is it was not for a orange and white saw.It would be nice to see a squish with gasket around 35 to 40 in case someone wanted to delete a gasket and still have meat left on the port timing for folks to play around with different durations without the intake slamming the floor
Im seeing the point being a cylinder thats portable without the need for epoxy and too high exhaust durationsI believe the point of these cylinder kits is to sell to a person that is not set up to do machining work. I do think different gasket thickness selection would be something to consider.
Sup gangstahI like the different base gasket idea.
Randy will these cylinders have a reduced combustion chamber from factory?
