Got enough parts on the 084 to check compression.
Got 170 psi with the thicker gasket which is what I was hoping for as it should settle in at 175 - 180 psi

Replaced the badge with a new one



Bought some wire and lugs to replace the wiring loom



A couple layers of aluminium tape to protect under the muffler

Got it all together with the limited coil and it only makes a weak spark when it feels like it.

I really wanted to hear it.
I recon it will sing a hell of a song!



And taking its place as part of the super firewood trio

Ported 10mm 044 with 20" 3/8
Ported 064 with 28" 3/8
Ported 084 with 36" 404

It got the best of me.
I wandered back down to the garage after dinner and replaced the ignition lead.

SPARK!

Got it to run up for a few seconds and it petered out lean.
Gave it a bit more fuel and pulled the cord again.
Forgot the press the decomp and tore the handle off.

I'm wondering if I have it in the right flywheel key slot cause it kicks back like a *b-word.

Do you know which key slot on the 084 flywheel is limited and which is unlimited?

The dogleg coil , Pruferex unlimited, uses the "P" keyway. The3-bolt coil, Bosch limited ,uses the "B" keyway. Think thats how it goes

I have looked those numbers up before but my coil has nothing written or stamped on it.

Its a 2 screw unit thats long like an 066 red light coil

I have a 1308 3 screw unit in the mail

Runs pig rich on limiter

That won't be an issue
All I seem to do is cut big timber.
I let everyone else struggle in the folage with their little saws while I attack the big trunks.

And where in the difinition of CAD does it say anything about needing justification he he?

It has 3 new OEM 880 springs in it now, as does my 084

Nicely done. That carb have a ball and spring style limiter like the dolmars or a fixed jet?

As for starter handles, sheared a d handle in half myself today.
