If a regular maul or splitting axe does not bust open a round in 3 or 4 wacks. I don't beat myself up trying anymore.

Few years ago, I got all rowdy & western with that maul (when I was mad at the world) jacked up a tendon, in my right arm, it would twitch & tingle, was kinda neat watching something moving around in my forearm. Few days of swinging a hammer, at work the tendon was as good as new.

I have used one of those. I didn’t enjoy it.
Now my chest hair is lopsided.

I've read the 6 eye ridges are the oldest ones.
I have a 4 pounder & havent ever even used it. Lol
I'm gonna sharpen it & start using it one of these days.

The ol’ Monster Maul. My father in law has one. I tried it once with not great results, it bounced off more than it split. That was about 10 years ago though.

Don't blame the arrow, blame the indian.

Before I had a hydro splitter, my Sotz monster maul split about 80% of my firewood. It was my, go to maul for like 10 years (before I tired other flavors of mauls) just because it worked so well. There's a lot of variables splitting wood thou.

It’s an old remnant I found…maybe it will be felling wedges
