I actually watched that one all the way through, and that usually doesn't happen. Still wish they would swap a bar/chain but if that's off the roll it's probably the best side by side yet. Also curious about the break in status of both saws, and how they do in big wood. That beech is some hard chit though.

I watched the 500i video, he's got Husqvarna hat,Husqvarna shirt,Husqvarna chaps, and Husqvarna gloves ? Did husqvarna build him in a lab to do lame saw comparisons?
I like to watch convert testamentary like" I dun used Steels all me life and now I sleep with my 592!"
You get the idea, I really wasn't a big fan of husqvarna until I worked with a 395xp. That saw changed my opinion on Husqvarna .

Those guys posted another video comparing wet weights of the 592 vs 661, i was surprised to see the stihl coming up lighter, but it does have less capacity in both fuel and oil I believe

If you watch some of his other videos, there's a lot more variation in the results. In his video of the 592 vs. the 500i, it looks like he takes a slice with the 592 in just shy of 15 seconds, but in the
572 vs. 395 video, it looks like he takes a slice with the 592 in about 18 seconds or so, and the wood appears to be getting smaller in the 395 video. In the 500i video, his cutting style is definitely more aggressive.

There’s another video that supposed to premiere today at 1 o’clock on YouTube. 592 against the 395. Looks like they have a long bar 32 inches bar?
I believe it’s gonna be put up a diesel power?

I assume this means that the 592 is out in Europe now. Or it’s just a lot of demos all is going around. I just watched a video of diesel power put it up against the 395 and the 592. Without a stopwatch countin Mississippi’s it beat it by about five Mississippi’s in the same piece of wood. But I also noticed two different cutting styles
Definitely almost sounds like he was leaning into the saws hard to but I could be wrong we just have to put the panel of experts up there when everybody watches it.

The thing I notice is how the 592 pulls down low when the cut is getting pushed. It changes tone (and tune) and keeps slugging. I’ve noticed the same with my 550 mkii. Auto tune may be why this happens. My theory anyway. Makes the saw easy to cut with.

Long stroke. Not necessarily more peak torque but a wider working rpm range. 550xp has same stroke as a 462c.

György Sulyok has uploaded new videos today of the 592 vs lots of other saws. Showed one of an 881 for what looked to be about a second faster than the 592 and another of a 660 about a second slower...

Interesting stuff anyways

European beech is very soft, rots easy
