There is a 592 and 585 at the great lakes logging and heavy equipment expo at the husqvarna booth, I didn't take the time to look at them I had a 4 year old that wanted to see the big machines and the reps were busy talking

I was thinking watching the video that a 592xp wouldn't necessarily be my "one saw " plan saw , kinda like taking the 68' Plymouth Hemi out for bread and milk?
All my 90cc + saws usually have a 34"-41" bar and the 70-80cc wear the 24" to 28" bars.

I agree. 32" minimum bar for 592.
Saw does sound real nice. I suspect that gains from porting will probably be minimal based on saw being great from factory.
Just like the 500i, I agree. It seems very potent, but we will really see when it hits Joe's Dyno and guys start getting them in their hands.

Not sure what you mean Dan. 592 looks pretty strong. Looked like it wanted more bar.
And it seems these saws today are getting hot rodded from factory pretty much. They aren't like the older saws where you see big gains from full port job.
Still gains to be made, but just not as much.

He was takin a stab at the legendary porter (JMS?) who's talents were so strong he used to claim that he 'maxed out' the cylinder meaning there were no more gains to be had after he touched it with his magic beltsander.

It was a throwback joke about the gains from porting to a former member here...lol. I'm pretty excited about the 585 as well, Jeff. It seems like that saw isn't getting much attention, but has some giddy up. And, it's carbed.
