My saws either get a broken case, get stolen, or I just get tired of running them. I have wore out rings and pistons before on favorite powerheads. After running 40 to 1 for years, I've switched to 50 to 1 and see not a lick of difference in wear, as long as I'm using a high quality oil, that is the key.

I put another tank of fuel through the 592 today. I also got a small test log in place and up off the ground. The log is not big enough, but it's petrified.

Well I got new parts today my clutch cover came in my dogs came in which I’m bigger than the ones that came with the Saw .Iwas think about keeping a regular handles on but I put a wrap on .I’m not sure if I wanna keep it on or not ? My next step will be to drill the outside dogs to match the inside dogs outside a solid steel inside has holes in them.

Yeah, just a quick power comparison. I definitely need a larger chunk of wood for a better comparison. I will slap an 8-pin on both saws to see if it makes a difference in this log. I did make more cuts than were in the video, where I lean harder on both saws just to see. They both cut slower by about one second.

Peak horsepower feels nearly identical, however by the seat of my pants, I feel as though I can lean on the 592 more, the powerband is wider.

Hey guys here’s a short video of my saw with a 42 inch bar. With steel skip chain square ground.
I can’t get the video but here’s a picture or two
Picture on the bottom is oil marks coming off the 42
