I spent this weekend at my in-laws blocking their firewood for their boiler. Of course my Brapp-Shackified 357 and 372 ran terrific, but I also ran Pop's 6400 for awhile. It's bone stock and I have to say, there really isn't much not to like about them Dolly's! I'd love to talk the old man into letting me try porting the 6400 and see where it falls compared to my 357 and 372. As it stands now, my 57 feels just as strong but faster in the cut, the 372 just blows it away... But regardless, I remain impressed with the steam engine like torque of that 6400. Really like that saw.

I sense Husky is over the top :D your guys should get rid of them asap!!:D
2 sec difference is 2 sec, most of my work is more then just tree fall, end of the day is the most effective limbing machine who win, can still be a Dolly who is the winner.

That might be hard to test. What kind of limbing? A huge oak crown , a evergreen? Just knocking the limb off the trunk, or every 16" for firewood?
I would love to test it all out but I only have oak and hickory to limb and for firewood some trees can take 2 days of solid limbing.

it's impossible to test, work like that is personal taste of saws, we humans are different shaped, what work for my neightbour may not fit me well.
50 and 60 cc class is alround saws in my book, over and under is more special saws at least where I live.
I got no problem with your findings, your 6100 is faster then those Huskies, at least on pure bucking, one thing I wonder about is the dimensions of those saws.

All that stuff works itself out my friend. This site is doing really well. Good people enjoying each other's company.
Just reading through this thread...sounds like it was on the verge of the typical Ass Site thread...drama, Young and The Restless 101, cheap *B-S..... If a man is gonna voice his opinion on another site, let it roll. I personally think Steve is a pretty fair person and I've been on both ends of the stick with him. He sent my ass to Camp a time or two...but he saved my ass as well from going right back a time or ten, when other mods were packmuling my ass, riding me like a cheap hoe.

I ain't got no dog in this fight as far as the saws that are being tested/compared...I ain't got none of them. And I ain't for nor against anyone here, nor any other site, in this. This site sets itself apart from the others because the drama, soap opera BS gets nipped pretty quick...then it's back to the facts, and what we junkies enjoy...a silly ass chainsaw, regardless of mfg.

When the dust settles and ya gotta tree on the ground...bucked up and eventually split...it's all about the heat and taking the cold edge off that thing called a family and a house ain't it?

Just my two little pennies...
