Part of what I like is a fully adjustable carb to my liking. Not some chip stepping in and screwing things up.

And the old style carb can be re-jetted to a non-EPA approved fuel flow...

I wonder if Poleman or Randy (carb gurus) will be offering upgraded jetting for the 6100.

More likely to ruffle the saw snobs' feathers over on AS but my guess is you have just about totally silenced them with this excellent thread. Good job Corey.

@CoreyB, I see the biggest Husky Fan Girl Steve (SVK from AS) is accusing you of stirring the pot over there with this thread...LOL. Transvestites really have no business owning or operating a chainsaw...it's just not right. Since I'm banned over there, will someone please pass this information on to Steve...LMAO.

Well considering I just purchased a 6100 this was certainly fun to watch. I really do like how both my Dolmars run and cut. Being a relative newbie to chainsaws I am sure personal preference and dealer relationship have the biggest influence on chainsaw selection and purchase. Thats why I own 2 Shindaiwas - dealer. Thanks Corey for doing this.

I wonder what the differences were Ross? I noticed the same thing from the first one I did to the latest ones.

I know the intake is different.......but what else?

Sorry buddy. I don't know. I'd have to tear into a new and old one to try and find a difference. I beat 166 knows though.

This is the change that may have made a difference. Only other changes are the intake hose and a Zama C3 DM27A vs C3 DM27 carburetor

Nice video Corey!

I had the chance to use both of them myself. All of them are great saws. The only thing I don't like with the Dolly is this supid large recoil cover. When you look from the top of the saw, it's pretty ugly (I know it's because of their "easy start system"), and without it the saw used to be way more compact.

But I think I'll have my own MMWS 6100 one day or another, Randy's video was just crazy impressive!

All that stuff works itself out my friend. This site is doing really well. Good people enjoying each other's company.
