there are 2 different 61 caps...the older ones are the same as the 44 cap.

This is an OEM Husqvarna black oil cap used on the models listed below. This is the venting version used on earlier saws which did not have a separate oil tank vent. The four small vent holes are not plugged and the threads are not cracked.

Chunk of HDPE plastic, warm up the tip end so it becomes soft , push and twist it into the tank hole - repeat if neccessary.
It should deform enough to take on the tank holes thread shape.

I did this a couple times, although for oil plugs in cast iron cases , as such I could use high force.

Nylon works too.

After getting a good enough "thread" remove excess material and shape to Your desire.

I would think so. That plug fits quite a few of the older Huskys
