That chain was pretty grabby, actually made that ported 120cc saw oscillate for the first few cuts. The first cut on the video was the 3rd cut, IIRC, maybe the 2nd …………….After about the first 10 seconds of that, I'd have my progressive raker gauge on that chain.
Magic...Controlled electronically by?
My 462 is my go-to lately for my daily logging of hardwoods here. It wears a 25” standard weight bar, full comp chain, and the only mod was a WCS bark box. It’s light, smooth, and as long as the chain is maintained, it cuts very well. Hard to beat for the money..
No experience with the 572, but it also sounds nice.
I don’t believe husky ships from the factory with wrap handles…at least I haven’t seen any. You have to buy the kit.So went to our two cycle dealer in Knoxville- Cox Power. Price on 572 is $1199 with 28” Husq bar (not lite) chain and scabbard. Add 3% for CC or take off 5% for cash. Brings it down to somewhere around 1140 I think. If I want power head only take off $100.
The 462 is $1319. It is the carb model- if I want mtronic they have to order (if they can even get from distributor). He of course tried to talk me into the carbd model criticizing the auto carbs reliability.
I do want the west coast version so maybe should shop out west? Im out of the loop on saw buying as I’ve taken going on a 5 year hiatus from the hobby.
I will say that I handled both saws with a 28” bar and the 462 was very bar heavy. The 572 was almost perfectly balanced. I guess that has to do with the design/ layout of the saw. I did not feel the .6lb difference between the saws. They felt the same other than the fact that the Husq balances better with a 28”
Like sausage pixie dust?Sprinkle a little XS on it…
The Dolmar 120 SI that is on Mastermind’s YouTube channel used to belong to me. That was an awesome saw.If parts availability is not a factor, any of the big Sachs-Dolmars from the 1980's. Among today's tiny selection, Echo CS-7310 all the way.
Give these guys a call. Everyone rants and raves about their pricing on stuff. I have yet to buy from them but I have stopped in.So went to our two cycle dealer in Knoxville- Cox Power. I have a 440 I need to work on. Picked it up cheap and someone has jerked it out of a pinch with a truck it looks like. Handle bar is bent and the rear handle is fugged! Cylinder looks good though.Ms440 and ms460 are my 2 favorite, easy to work on and durable saws.
