WTF ??
I've been "around the block a few times" and I have been accused of being "out of the loop" a few times .................. but WTFrigg are you talking about ??????
The wrap handle kit comes with larger spikes. Can you put a decent set of spikes on the 572 or does the captive nuts prevent that?
It’s an HD2 ………..According to some the 500i has the worst air filtration setup ever used on a chainsaw.

Thanks for answering !
To me, both the 661 & the 500i need a little extra to keep their respective covers tight, they’re definitely not the worst filtration systems I’ve seen or used

The wrap kit comes with handle, clutch cover, and spikes. But you give up captive bar nuts. A G model requires its own specific wrap handle obviously. Can you put a decent set of spikes on the 572 or does the captive nuts prevent that?

I agree. Walking thru the woods with one saw all day felling trees a 500i would be a decent option. If I was a logger and carried one saw I'd have a 500, it's a tweener for tree service guys. It can't pull a 36" like a 661 and it's really no different than a 462 with 20-28" bars plus it's as expensive as a 661 if not more in certain places.
I happen to have a nib 572xpg. And a nib mk2 550xpg. And, your all orange ported mk1 550xpg looking pretty on the shelf! Possible I could be persuaded to let some go? I do need to thin the herd. Or do I? I dunno…Can you put a decent set of spikes on the 572 or does the captive nuts prevent that?
Tn- primarily hardwood for the fireplace and wood stove. Usually get into the mid to bigger stuffOp, where are you from and what type and size of wood do you mostly cut?
