What are you paying for E free fuel?

$2.29 for 87, $2.69 for 91

I live in the land of cheap gas, and E-free is readily available. Just got back from Ohio and gas prices weren't even close. $2.15 for diesel here, $2.49 or more everywhere else.

Now this is funny and strange were at $2.00 for 87 today and its all coming for you?

IIRC, the price of oil is down so gas prices should be coming down more. I just called to check and the prices I posted earlier are correct. Also, 89 is $2.39

That's right. What's going on? The price per barrel is about $50. Years ago that would be way below $2.00 a gal is it the ethanol driving up the price

It looks like a dime a liter or 38 cents extra a US gallon for Esso and Shell 91 octane E free at the nearest big city. My nearest pumps will be about a nickel higher.

Think I paid $2.29 the other day for 87 e free. Think it's around $2.89 for 93 e free Conoco. Both within 10 minutes from my house. That's in northeast Alabama.

Government involvement mandating stricter emissions standards requires more refinement. Some states also require percentages of "renewable" fuels which can also drive up the price. Solar and wind farms are being built because of this forced demand for renewable energy also, not economics.

That has us beat. We are at $2.55 for no ethanol and $2.19 for 10% ethanol. My 2-cycle engines don't seem to mind 10%, but I hope that percentage stays the same. The politicians are trying to double it to 20%. I guess they either never heard of a 2-cycle engine or don't care.

We have a station here that put in more pumps that were higher in ethanol but I do not remember if it was E15 or E20. We still are able to get standard 87 ethanol free though from many stations. We also have stations that sell off road diesel at the pump which is nice. What is sometimes hard is finding no-biodiesel.

Looks like the same situation as Nebraska. The boys upstairs want all of us to buy ethanol and they want more grain alcohol in the mixture.

We want ordinary gasoline but nobody wants to sell it. This is insanity.

Well yeah creating more demand for a product to raise the price so you can get paid more why not. And the you can say you care about the environment. Of they only knew how much water was wasted lol.

It kind of reminds me at my job at a print shop we have regular paper then we have FSC paper the a has been traced so you can prove it wasn't illegal wood or child labor was used.


NEWS FLASH the paper is made in same mill as the rest of it with wood from South Carolina lol just some is charging more for that feel good sticker.

Remember also that the more ethanol that is made, the higher the cost of food for livestock and the higher the food prices in general. It all averages out.

I live in the beef state and I like beef. Seven days without beef makes one weak.

In Minnesota there might be a law for the stations only to be able to offer non-oxyginated gasoline after they carry all other grades of gas.
