Betcha ya need carbide chain to mill it!
Hey guys. Very new to the milling game and I’d like to ask your opinions. I have this 36-40” white oak that’s been laying around for me to get to it. I finally cut a disc off of it for a possible top. It was too big for my 30” granberg rails and 36” bar so I did it by hand. Just take a look at it. Is it worthy of my intentions or should it heat my house in the OWB?View attachment 334375 View attachment 334376
split some oak slabs in half to make a drink rail for side of dance floor in neighbors wedding barn he’s setting up.
Those were brought by the one tree service for me to sharpen as I have time, no idea what’s there but I’m guessing at least a couple hundred.Looks like @ramrat bucket O' chains he had in Minnesota in your bottom pic.

Beautiful!
Thanks. I build this for my father-in-law. He was very pleased.Beautiful!
Ouch, that sucks! At least they saved the tip of your thumb! My white cedar closet project will take a bit longer to finish. First table saw mishap that I've ever had. But dammit, I'm going to win.View attachment 344972
