A few years back we had a bad storm blow through our hunting camp. Several of us w/ saws and tractors went to clean up. One of the members that hadn't previously done much cutting showed up with a brand new Stihl 661, 32" bar he had purchased on the way up. After showing everyone the saw and getting the multiple "be careful with that thing" comments we all split off to work our areas. Bob fired up his new saw, revved it wide open and proceeded to swing it like an axe at a blown down tree. The saw bounced off the tree and cut him on the top of the thigh, bad, but not a serious threat to life or limb.
He was bleeding profusely, obviously needed stitches. We're administering first aid real quick and loading him into a truck to take him to the emergency room - somebody says "Bob, here's your phone (it had dropped out of his pocket), call your wife"
"No, I'm not calling my wife, nobody else call her either, I don't want her finding out about this"
"Bob, there's no way you can keep her from finding out about this - why don't you want to tell her"
"The last thing she said to me when I was leaving the house this morning was 'Don't buy that chainsaw, you don't know how to use one'"
Tried to get him to sell me that saw after but he refused to sell it to any of us because it was "too dangerous". Eventually bought myself a new MS462 and ended up here...
