Thank you. Yes, I used a Kreg/pocket hole jig. I routered "channels/pockets" in the rear of the backrest to fit over the uprights as well as the bottom of the seat to fit down over the "legs." Hope that makes sense. The angle of the backrest took a bit of playing around with to get it comfortable. I don't have the bench, as it was a gift for someone. I'll see if I can't get over to their place this weekend (it's close by) and get some pictures, measurements, & angles for ya to go off of.
