What are you building with your milled wood?

What finish do you guys recommend for outside stuff like sitting benches?

I am disappointed with the Spar Urathane ... seems to only last about a year in the Sun, was expecting more.

I use Watco Teak Wood Oil. Made for wet conditions.
It works well for me. Really absorbs into the wood nicely.

I don’t have long term experience with this. But it was I landed on after 15 minutes of searching the web. I like the satin. Sprayed well enough with HVLP cheap sprayer from Amazon .

There are 4 different species of wood in it.

Maple, walnut and white pine cutting board. This will make 2 roughly 10.5 x 16 inch cutting boards.

This will make 6 pure white pine cutting boards.

It's a little soft but when using the side grain it holds up fairly well. This really won't matter here, it'll be fish cleaning boards.

After some trips through the planer. These will be pretty with some oil on them.

Most people with a Walnut tree in their yard have a bad friend. They tell them it's worth a fortune. They list it on CL and expect someone to come and pay them take down their precious walnut tree. The tree is between the house and garage and by power lines and a fence. Oh and they want you to have insurance too.
