I have noticed square chain really bites and sends some noodles out!
Like a sharp chisel cuts curls.
It seems doing that with 10 or 15 on the top face will tell stuff about torque. Have a chain I can not pull with a big saw in anything over two feet wide on the mill. It's mean!... It tests ported saws bucking 28" bar 404 RS. It mills pretty fast but it will jam if you give it a chance to. It was made for milling single large post from one tree. About 60 under it and 0.040 with fairly new cutters. Pia to buck with in wet wood, grabby. Great for post ripping on the mill in smaller softwood or dry hardwoods. In wet red oak it drags down the big saw noodling across blocks on the mill.
