What a good thread.

@S&S_Work_Saws if you end up with an extra air conductor I could use one. OEM is $50 and AM $15. Price disparity seems too great.
I may have one really soon. After a lot of thought and consideration the only conclusion I can draw is that this particular 395xp has been cursed possibly with some kind of evil spirit....
Got the carb lined out. Was running great. The next day I go to start it and it immediately sounded awful. It was sounding like a timing issue. Pulled the flywheel and sure enough keyway broke out of the flywheel. Install another OEM flywheel....runs great for 10 seconds and then shears off again...So it's about to get sold dirt cheap to someone I hope uses it to cut rocks or parted out.
PM your address and I'm sure I'm got a conductor plate laying around here.

Sounds like my 395…maybe I need two headaches or backup parts

I think I figured out how to secure my flywheel without a key but don’t remember how. Maybe ground a divot in the FW bore and put a bb or something it in
