It started out with a commercial fire wood guy asking me if I could fix his MS460. He then asked if I had any saws to sell.

Well, I had a couple of Asian clones I don't need, so I brought two of them over (with full disclosure of what they are). (a 440 big bore and a ported 660).

Well, they like both of them, but were ga ga over the 660, so we made a deal. Then some tree service guys come over. Seems the fire wood guy leases outdoor space for 4 different tree service companies to store their vehicles. The tree service guy tests and buys the 440 big bore, and also runs the other guys 660. He buys the 440 on the spot and asks me to build him two Asian 660s!

I also end up going home with the 460 to repair from the fire wood guy, and 6 saws from the tree guy (3 are just parts saws). There is another 460, an 880, two 441 parts saws, and two top handle saws (one is just for parts, the other seems to have a clutch problem).

I will miss my Asian 660 Blue Beast, it is a good running saw, but I just have too many to keep them all. It is just a hair less powerful than my Flying Tiger, and had a ported Cross cylinder and a Meteor piston.
Interesting day

Worked all day, came home to a nice dinner and got all cleaned up afterward. Brother in law called me about a cedar tree that was near his camper shed he wanted me to look at. It was a monster, but the 2172 slayed it. He then pointed out a a 30” rotten pine he wanted down, so we got it too. He found one more skinny pine he wanted down before I was able to get away from him lol. All in all a good day, but I’m tired and ready to be lazy. I think it’s time to watch tv with the weeniedog and have a Diet Coke.

Got my car back from body repair.
Went to get a preliminary technical checkup on my car, guy said mechanically my car is fine and should pass the annual checkup.

I refused a log bucking job today, I didn't even wanna listen to any details.
Neighbor was not too happy, but I don't care.
There is just that much one can get done during this summer heat wave, my own yard and my own health are more important to me.

Cleaned up a bunch of low branches on some oak trees at mom and dads to make their view better. I know it’s a horrible time of year to trim trees for all kinds of reasons, but I did it anyway. Tore down an old crappy pergola they had out front, re-did their flowerbeds, and piled all the brush in the pasture.

Fired up the smoker after that to cook dinner for a family gathering tomorrow. Made a bunch of bacon wrapped pork loin and a couple of fatties. Those fatties are 2 lbs apiece of sausage, wrapped in a pound of bacon weave, and stuffed with cheese/onions/jalapeños.

My next door neighbor is throwing this out. I think it is much too cool to let it go to scrap.

If anyone is interested and willing to PU or pay for transportation, please let me know ASAP, as it will be gone soon.
