Today I got a basketcase 460 running which had bad crank bearings, scored piston and a bunch of shoddy "fixes" that's been in a box on the floor for 5 years. Felt good to get back into it. Been away from the saw game for 6 years or so. Ready to dive back in.

Notice the change of scenery between the first and second photo? Yeah I split the cases 4 years ago at a different house :oops:

I think I have too many saws in boxes, lol
Reminds me…put two cranks in the freezer for builds and forgot about them…got sidetracked …couple months back 🤣

I think I have too many saws in boxes, lol
Reminds me…put two cranks in the freezer for builds and forgot about them…got sidetracked …couple months back 🤣
This crank has been in my freezer, well two freezers now, since I bought the bearings after splitting the case. They'll be alright :)

This crank has been in my freezer, well two freezers now, since I bought the bearings after splitting the case. They'll be alright :)

I got 15 concrete posts into the ground for the basis of a new firewood rack (it was too dark to get a picture of them all set into the ground).
