Today I was welding and grinding steel making trusses for a Christian camp project in Africa. Here in Bamako, Mali it gets about 100 in the daytime and usually around 90 or so inside. We've been here a little over a week and will be here until the 7th of February. It's dirty, grimy work and the city power is only on a few hours a day. There's solar system but that's limited so sometimes we have no power at all. I was thinking about everyone back in the USA freezing this past weekend and it sounded a bit appealing. Groundie and were last here in 1990 so it's been a minute.

Today I got a basketcase 460 running which had bad crank bearings, scored piston and a bunch of shoddy "fixes" that's been in a box on the floor for 5 years. Felt good to get back into it. Been away from the saw game for 6 years or so. Ready to dive back in.

Notice the change of scenery between the first and second photo? Yeah I split the cases 4 years ago at a different house

I think I have too many saws in boxes, lol
Reminds me…put two cranks in the freezer for builds and forgot about them…got sidetracked …couple months back

This crank has been in my freezer, well two freezers now, since I bought the bearings after splitting the case. They'll be alright
