Ripped apart the dollar reading mechanism on "one of my side hustles" the soda machine at work. It totally ate its belt drive and looked like a herd of dust buffalo had been running through it for years. Cleaned-New grease-New belts...like new, and hopefully ill never have to touch it for another 25years.

Nice burn pile today, clearing up the dead fall on the pastures. The 350/346 got to handle all the small stuff today. Still breaking in the ring, about 4 tanks through it now and it seems to be getting stronger…I think 🧐

Built a widget on the back of the wood splitter to keep the wood from falling to the ground after being split. Started with a chunk of leftover grating I built for a dairy barn a few years ago.

Goobered it onto the splitter so it was removable. This beast is already too long to store nicely.

Split three pieces and broken it. Younger Mike looked at that flat lip and thought “that may catch stuff but it may not so let’s run it!” Well it caught a chunk and blew it apart 😂

Back to the shop to add iron !! A couple pieces of 12x12x1/2” plate welded in at a slight angle to form a ramp should do nicely.

Wow. This works amazing. I split for about a half hour and it was the most pleasant splitting experience I’ve ever had with this splitter.

I picked up a Stihl 090 a while back that came with the OEM parts, but is currently sporting aftermarket parts. I had a pine log that I needed to buck up for milling, so I was hoping to give it a try. Had a 48" hardnose bar with 1/2" semi-chisel chain. Fired up fine when I poured fuel into the carb, but won't run on its own. I might clean the carb and try again, but I went ahead and did the job with my 076:
