I low cut oak stumps for 3 hours today with the G395xp. Only came up with one issue that I can see. It seems like when the saw get’s down to about half a tank of oil (cutting sideways) the pickup doesn’t drop to the bottom of the tank and the saw doesn’t oil well. Works fine cutting right side up. You guys think a new OE pickup tube would solve this problem?EDDDC4D8-22A0-417C-A411-AB338A2CE96A.jpeg

take the cap off and look in there. see what it does. maybe its hanging up on something. that brass filter is pretty heavy for that tubing to not jet let it fall down. maybe the tubing is worn and its just bending in half kinking.

I checked my brother's oem 395, the oe pickup tube flops to the bottom of the tank very nicely when the saw is on it's side. Long story short, yeah, I think that would probably cure it.

That’s what I figured as well, but when I look in there the brass thing is sitting atop the oil every time 🤷‍♂️.

The oiler gear hasn’t failed on me yet but I assume it will at some point. For some reason that pickup just doesn’t flop down like should, it rides up in the top of the tank. Maybe the rubber is too stiff, who knows! I think I’ll give the OE pickup a try see how that goes.

Those look like what we call "donuts here"
Those look full size. We call the temp spares donuts here. They are smaller in size.
They are mildly low profile.
Mine are 185/65 R15 , my moms are 165/65 R14

I prefer rubber & air to separate my car/me from the road.
I also prefer steel rims over aluminum ones.

I had full size tires on my first car, 185 R14 , basically 185/80 R14.
Driving that car was like sitting in a cloud - Opel Rekord E Caravan.
I miss the sound of a RWD differential!

It was yesterday when I found the time to change the coil on a little hot rod Partner 5000 plus .Over 40 years old and still lays it down . My neighbor has a thing for Dolmars and has several he's real proud of . What until he sees a little Swede in action .

I generally prefer a larger tire.
