Unfortunately no. The ball split in half as it blew out the back of the hip acetabulum. You can see on the left image that when they initially relocated the hip, half the ball was in there backwards. Same age you can see part of the break in the back of the socket. Their zero-to-ten pain scale was a tad low at that point, haha!

Those are pretty cool 3-D images done a Philips Cat Scanner.

Yea I can see the part of the ball backwards in there. No wonder they had to use so many screws. Wow.

Made an engine stand this morning then mounted the engine to it so we could inspect the accessory case. (Lycoming O-360), Mowed the airstrip, went through an aircraft salvage yard scrounging for parts, paperwork, online searching for parts, ate venison stew for supper. Weather is beautiful here today, our friends from MI who are staying with us for a couple days said it's snowing there.

Kids had ther last sesion of indoor socker tonight and they played the parents. Man i realized how out of shape i am. Cant keep up with the 8-12 year olds.

But it was fun.

Ortho appt. Looks like I can start a bit of weight bearing in a couple weeks.

Good stuff on the recovery. Looks like you're carrying your own spare parts bin around in those pics. Take it easy on the new weight bearing challenge. Slow and steady wins the race.

Mostly cut grass today at rental properties. Also packed up some broken aircraft radios, did some straightening up in the hangar, took Groundi out for supper and went to a classic car show. Overall a good day.

Next to my bench at the shop, Oregon
Worked that the shop and put out a bunch of new arctic cats. Then went to dad's shop to help him put his 572 together, and while there I put my 64 GMC on the lift to find that my electric fuel pump wire was nicely melted to the exhaust pipe and one of the 50 year old tire rod ball joint bolt was loose. Tightened that and now the steering feels a little tighter and less wandery. While it was up there I greased the front end. Need to tighten the front brakes a bit.

Cleaned up the saw area and reorganized today. To many saws and not enough places to put them so I pulled and hung all the bars and put the powerheads on the shelf. Yep, CAD has bitten bad. These are just the runners, projects are on another shelf.
